In this publication the authors demonstrate it is possible to build efficient computationally oriented versions of multi-parameter complex methods using asymptotic procedures, which may, due to their ease, be directly employed for controlling processes arising in connection with composite material processes. The publication targets this asymptotic-modeling-based approach since it enables us to specify the most important from numerous parameters describing the machine, or, in other words, the asymptotic methods permit us to gauge the sensitivity of these machine parameters.
What’s more, the publication addresses the building of nonlocal and higher-order homogenized versions. Local areas on the micro-level along with also the effect of so-called non-ideal contact between the matrix and inclusions are researched and modeled. The publication then studies composites using non-regular arrangement and bunch type composite conductivity, and assesses edge effects in fiber composite materials. Transition of load out of a fiber into a matrix for elastic and viscoelastic composites, various kinds of fiber composite fractures, and buckling of fibers in fiber-reinforced composites can also be researched. Last but not least, the book contains research on perforated membranes, plates, and shells, in addition to the asymptotic simulating of imperfect nonlinear interfaces.
